- We are welcoming a highly motivated and experienced Head Operations Small Molecules to our leadership team in Sandoz In this role you will lead the global STO Small Molecules manufacturing unit with an end-to-end responsibility for all drug substance and drug product manufacturing processes, including supply chain, internal manufacturing sites and external supply organization. You will create and maintain a competitive edge by manufacturing and supplying drug substances and drug products compliant with cGMP regulations, high quality and value, in an efficient, cost effective and timely manner to the customers. This role requires an experienced, inspired, curious and unbossed leader, who will provide leadership to the sites and functions and will be responsible for optimization that drives end-to-end supply of products.
- Major accountabilities:
- Responsible for the financial and overall business performance of the manufacturing unit consisting of internal manufacturing sites.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement initiatives in line with overall targets for productivity across the manufacturing unit.
- Jointly owns, with Sandoz Quality, the quality and compliance plans for the manufactur-ing unit and each individual manufacturing site.
- Sustains acceptable standards of product/process quality, Health, Safety and Environ-ment (HSE) and Security in the interest of legal compliance, competitive advantage and community relations.
- Works in close cooperation with Commercial Operations in the S&OP Process to deliver quality products and to launch efficiently new products.
- Works directly with STO Strategy and Supply team to develop and operationalize a glob-al strategy for the manufacturing unit including business continuity.

**Minimum requirements**
- Academic Degree level required as a minimum (Graduate in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy or Engineering to B.Sc. level, MBA)
- English fluent, additional languages preferred
- Minimum 15 years experience in senior Manufacturing, Technical Operations and Supply Chain Management roles in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- In-depth know-how and experience in managing complex supply chain organizations including complex manufacturing sites, which integrate all key functions such as manufacturing, supply chain, quality management, etc.
- Proven leadership and change management experience and prior success in building and managing teams
- Possesses the ability to work in a global, matrix environment
- Strong cultural/intercultural awareness
