Postdoc position on methanogenesis in aquatic systems (18 months)
**Project summary**: This study focuses on the production of methane in lake sediments using organic geochemical tools to identify molecules that stand at the beginning of methane production. You will investigate different compounds like lipids, amino acids, sugars, etc. using isotopic tools combined with 14C measurements. To this end, the postdoc will work in a small team in the state of the art organic geochemical and isotope geochemical laboratories at Eawag in Kastanienbaum (Lucerne) and at ETH (Zurich).
