About the team you are joining

The airline industry is moving towards full airline retailing in order to become truly customer centric, and in control of its products, money, and data. This change requires a complete review and rebuild of the industry architecture, standards, and processes. These standards cut across several IATA divisions and impact most airlines business capabilities. While planning and delivering towards the achievement of the industry vision, you will plan and sunset legacy standards as they become obsolete.
You will report to the Director, Industry Architecture and Passenger Standards and you will lead the team responsible for delivering all the standards necessary to achieve the industry vision towards airline retailing and customer centricity enabling airlines to remain in control of their product, money, and data.
You will also act as Secretary to the Passenger Standards (Services and Tariffs) Conference.

What your day would be like

**Standards Development**: as Secretary of the IATA Passenger Standards Conference, you will:

- Ensure the connection is made between the strategic advice received from different Advisory Councils and the agenda set by the Conference and its Steering Group
- Gather business requirements for Standards, prioritizing them for smooth delivery.
- Deliver the agenda of the annual Passenger Standards Conference and its Steering Group.
- Oversee the activities of the related Standard Boards and Working Groups, the agendas, minutes and government filings as needed.
- Oversee the activities of the Prorate Agency.

**Governance**: work with the IATA Governance community to ensure the adoption of best practices and achieve an agile, efficient, and effective governance. Own and manage a communications plan to explain how Governance works and raise awareness of its activities.

**Passenger standards guidance**:

- Support IATA senior management with guidance and advice on governance, standards and resolutions related to Passenger Services resolutions and recommended practices.
- Responsible for making decisions on exceptions to PSC resolutions and recommended practices using the RAPID methodology.
- Provide strong support to the coding team as the owner of the coding polices by resolution.

**Stakeholder Management**:Maintain strong relations and consultations on key matters with airlines and system providers engaged in governance groups and other organizations.

**Products**: Support the Product teams' publishing, consulting and training portfolio and new product development, especially in the area of publications and e-commerce coming from the standards setting activities.

- Ability to manage a large external community of stakeholders across a wide variety of business domains both external and internally and especially across divisions,
- Highly numerate and detail oriented with excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
