URPP Human Reproduction Reloaded | H2R_ **Research Assistant** **20 % **:The newly-established Chair Margaria is part of the University Research Priority Program (URPP) "Human Reproduction Reloaded". The focus of the Chair is on legal approaches to family diversity, from a gender and human rights perspective. Through the combination of doctrinal and empirical research methods, special attention is directed to the societal implications of existing legal frameworks pertaining to reproduction and family relationships, and the experiences of contemporary unconventional families (eg LGBTQI+ families and families created through assisted reproduction) often deprived of legal recognition and protection. For more information on the topic and the organization, see the following link: URPP **Your responsibilities**: You are responsible for supporting the Chair with - background research on issues pertaining to family law, medical law, gender, human rights and reproduction - the finalisation of academic publications on top international legal journals - organisational tasks in relation to an ongoing (book) project "What is a Family? Transdisciplinary Conversations", in collaboration with the University of Cambridge **Your profile**: You hold or are about to complete an excellent bachelor's degree in law. You have a particular interest in questions around family law, medical law, human rights law, gender and reproduction, and interdisciplinary approaches to law (or some of these fields). You are reliable, and eager to learn You are proficient in both German and English as scientific and working languages; additional language skills, especially French and Dutch, are an advantage. **What we offer**: This position offers the possibility to learn about and contribute to cutting-edge research on law, gender and family diversity.
