Department of Psychology_ **Research Assistant for the project "Development of Adolescents' Metacognitive Control Skills"** **20-30 % **:At the Department of Psychology, a novel project investigating the development of adolescents' metacognition (led by Prof. Dr. Mariette van Loon) has recently started. We are looking for a student research assistant to support us with this project. **Your responsibilities**: As a student research assistant, you: - support with designing and programming the research tasks to measure metacognitive monitoring and control. - support with (coordination of) data collection. You will be a contact person for the research participants (school teachers, adolescent participants and their caretakers). You will visit the participating schools to collect data. - will assist the research team with preparing and coding the data. - support the team with preparing research articles and presentations (for instance making reference lists and figures). - support the team with organizing events. **Your profile**: - You study psychology, educational sciences, or computer science and are currently doing your Master's - You have a strong interest in research in the field of developmental psychology - You have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail - You have advanced English and German skills - You have good data management and statistical skills (e.g., with use of R and excel) and basic computer programming skills (e.g. JavaScript) **What we offer**: We offer an collaborative and intellectually stimulating research environment with varied work tasks and flexible working times.
