**Job Description Summary**: This position is based in our Eysins office and is open to individuals with a valid Swiss work visa. As Global Supply Chain Manager, you will own the monthly supply planning cycle across a 24-month horizon and drive strategic decision-making through active participation in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for our IPD Infusion Preparation and Delivery plateform. You will manage operational complexities—anticipating supply disruptions, allocating resources across markets, and responding to urgent orders with agility. You operate confidently in ambiguous environments, extracting insights from imperfect tools and championing process improvements, including contributing to SAP deployment initiatives. With 5 to 10 years' experience in international supply chain roles, you combine hands-on logistics fluency with strategic acumen. You bring mastery of Excel, working knowledge of SAP, and fluency in English (Spanish is appreciated). You're a natural coach, comfortable leading without formal authority, resilient under pressure, and eager to dive into the operational trenches while influencing long-term transformation. This is a high-impact individual contributor role, ideal for someone looking to be a strategic linchpin in a dynamic global environment. **Your main responsibilities will include**: - ** Lead Supply Planning**: Own the supply planning process, delivering master production schedules (MPS) to plants and aligning with financial calendars and capacity constraints. - ** Drive Continuous Improvement**: Implement supply chain optimization initiatives to identify and fix process gaps. Maximize the use of SAP. - ** Optimize Inventory & Service Levels**: Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining service levels and managing backorders across regions. - ** Monitor & Report Performance**: Track and report on key global metrics such as backorders and inventory, supporting strategic decision-making. - ** Ensure Cross-Functional Alignment**: Act as the single point of contact for EU MDS sub-platforms, translating business needs into supply chain actions. - ** Support IBP Process**: Facilitate supply consensus and review meetings, ensuring accurate production planning and alignment with global demand. - ** Coordinate Global Sourcing**: Manage finished goods sourcing across internal plants, optimizing capacity and asset utilization. - ** Manage Supply & Allocation**: Make allocation decisions during supply shortages and define planning strategies (MTO/MTS/ATO) for product portfolios. - ** Lead Strategic Projects**: Participate in or lead projects focused on process improvement, cost efficiency, and lead time reduction. **About you** - 5-10 years’ experience in supply chain roles within global industrial organizations - Deep understanding of supply planning, inventory management, and distribution flows - Strong command of SAP; familiarity with non-harmonized tools and a mastery of Excel - Fluent in English; Spanish appreciated as a plus - Comfortable working in imperfect systems with a continuous improvement mindset - Proven ability to perform under pressure and handle urgent operational decisions - Grounded, field-oriented approach—enjoys getting into the operational “nuts and bolts" - Natural coach with cross-functional leadership, mentoring junior planners effectively with no direct reports, but a key reference within your scope **We are the makers of possible** BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world.
