As a buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in our Process Industries division, based in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland. Reporting to the Team Lead Purchasing, you will collect requirements and place Purchase Orders to Subsuppliers for Project Materials, Equipment and Services forming components of our global projects in Mining, Aluminum and Steel industry.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Composing Purchase Orders based on project’s technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms
- Opening Order Management including the collection/alignment of Order Confirmations
- Handling and negotiating of Variation Orders, commercial and contractual execution of the Purchase Order up to the delivery of the equipment and expiration of warranty
- Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving clarifications and delays of Suppliers
- Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price
- Building and maintaining price databases, product costing analysis, benchmarking of supplier costs and conditions
- Supporting Sourcing in finding/developing new sources, simple RfQ processes and implementation
- Ensuring purchasing activities are in line with corporate purchasing policies and procedures

**Your background**:

- Experience in purchasing activities (supply chain, management or purchasing area) in industrial business
- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage different tasks
- A commercial education
- Fluency in English
