The Digital Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator is a member of our Learning and Innovation (LNI) team, which provides advisory services to Helvetas projects and programs worldwide as well as to external clients. The LNI team plays a lead role in shaping the organization’s approach to knowledge sharing, learning, collaboration and Results-Based Management (RBM). In terms of both RBM and Knowledge Management, the LNI team emphasizes the importance of participation and ownership, and the link between evidence and action, as contributors to greater effectiveness in our work.
**MAIN TASKS**:
As a member of the LNI team, you will be responsible for the successful coordination of the **organization-wide Initiative on Digital Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)**. The Digital M&E Initiative strengthens digital M&E systems and capacities in the countries and sensitizes for better, more intuitive, and systematic data use (e.g., through dashboards) for learning and steering at project, country, and head office level. You will:
- Based on the experiences, lessons learned and recommendations from the pilot in five Helvetas partner countries, develop, coordinate and monitor a plan for the roll-out of an organization-wide Digital M&E System that includes capacity-strengthening and training activities for country-based staff to manage suggested tools and methods and the establishment of regional Communities of Practice
- Involve, seek input and advice from Evaluation and Learning Advisors within the LNI team as necessary
- Stay abreast of other digitalization workstreams at Helvetas and exchange regularly
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment by proactively sharing knowledge and learning related to the digital M&E initiative, both internally and in relevant networks and forums
**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Master’s degree relevant to the working area (e.g. Results-Based Management, Development Cooperation, Data Management or Analysis, Organizational Development or Change Management)
- Sound thematic experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation; previous experience in setting up and rolling out digital information management systems within an organization is a strong asset; passionate about working with digital tools
- At least four years of experience in development cooperation, including short term consultancies that are thematically relevant
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and working experience in project cycle management
- Proven experience in process facilitation and change management with a variety of actors
- Good communicator and able to work in teams as well as independently
- Excellent spoken and written English as well as French or Spanish
- Adaptability to a variety of working environments in international settings as well as potential international travel
