**Position Overview**:
Aurora Flight Sciences has an opening for an Analysis Group Team-Lead, a first line supervisor role. The individual in this position has the responsibility to lead the assigned team to execute and mature the site’s technical capabilities and methods (processes, tools, organization, etc.) in stress Group. This person is also expected to provide significant technical contributions to various programs and proposal efforts. This job requires a combination of resource management,stress analysis and test experience. This position has the responsibility to develop and sustain a highly capable, technically competent, effectively utilized, and highly productive engineering team of Stress Analysts. A combination of technical delivery and team leadership, the primary product lines for stress analysis activities will be manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, optionally piloted vehicles, and modification of existing aircraft (fixed, VTOL, and rotary wing).

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage analysis team resources and liaise with programs to satisfy program needs.
- Provide cross-functional analytical support as needed with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide mentorship and career growth plan to each team member by scheduling periodic value-added meetings to focus on areas of their interest and talent.
- Act as internal liaison & advocate for their team members to help resolve issues and identify growth opportunities.
- Exercise annual performance reviews and lead annual goal setting discussion of each team member.
- Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of aerospace engineering and other related aircraft fields to provide technical assistance and guidance to team members and contribute to completion of Analysis Group objectives.
- Develop/standardize/deploy and continually improve engineers’ practices/tools/procedures.
- Coach/mentor/develop the analysis engineers in the group.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team to Recruit and sustain highly capable and technically competent team members.
- Potential for direct liaison / support with external customer & supplier companies and the airworthiness authorities as it relates to stress analysis activities
- Report to the Aerostructures Division Manager on a regular basis

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engineering degree from an accredited university (BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar).
- Advanced degrees highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in airframe design, analysis, and manufacturing with emphasis on carbon composite primary airframe structures.
- Experience with the composite part detail process, including composites stacking sequence, lamination theory, honeycomb core, bonded assemblies, manufacturing assembly and fabrication processes, post-cure machining operations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in FEA/CAD tools and understanding in airframe primary structure load pathsaths.
- Familiar with aerospace industry accepted analysis methodologies for metallic and composite airframe structures
- Strong written and verbal knowledge of the English language required
