We are looking for a Head of Data Management & Enterprise Architect based in Basel, Visp Switzerland and Morristown US. You are responsible to oversight of the company’s data strategy and Enterprise Architecture. The position is a leadership position within the Digital Delivery organization. You are very closely connected to the overall business strategy of the company. The collaboration with MDM, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Processes & Applications, or Digitalization & Innovation teams are key to drive best practices like security by design, data quality, qualification, interfacing and monitoring of data pipelines.

Moreover, it will also include the sourcing of external vendors required to support innovation projects and leverage external expertise to scale.

Key responsibilities:

- Design state-of-the-art digital technologies and architectures to enable new business ideas
- Define, drive and globally enforce EA processes, governance, principles and standards
- Partner with strategists to leverage data from various platforms (CRM, ERPs, OSISoft, QC, industry data aggregators, etc.) in order to develop disruptive insights and actionable recommendations and strategic next steps
- Develop analytics deliverables, including documentation of measurement planning, key business questions, data requirements, and front-end visualization approaches (Business Intelligence/dashboards)
- Support the development of data science and modeling capabilities in a transformation journey to enable growth at speed and scale targeting solutions to business problems and barriers together with the Digitalization & Innovation team
- Manage all EA activities locally and globally; and own the global EA board
- Collaborate with other IT functions (Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Data Management)

Key requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar discipline
- Business fluent in English required, business fluent in German preferred
- Data Engineering and Analytics experience and at least 5 years of data focused leadership position
- Excellent understanding of data management concepts such as data governance, data policies, data models, data catalogues, data quality and data analytics
- Proven ability to develop, implement and manage the execution of a innovative data strategy
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies, BI technologies, with the technical capability and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends
- Continuously checking for and adapting to new developments relevant for data storage, sourcing and usage
- Communicate on data strategy and progress ensuring a clear storyline such that both are understood by all relevant stakeholders
- Ability to work in a collaborative, transparent style with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to lead and deliver results
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
