Fotokite develops autonomous, high-endurance tethered unmanned aerial systems to help firefighters and public safety teams save lives.

We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager who will work across all engineering teams to develop detailed project plans, identify roadblocks, and ensure project deadlines are met on time and within budget. This position works closely with other members of the engineering department to implement and improve engineering process and project management practices. Facilitates clear communication with team members at all levels of the organization ensuring that organizational objectives are ultimately met.

**Responsibilities**
- Identifies, develops, and leads projects to ensure project deadlines are met and requirements are fulfilled
- Develops detailed project plans including project milestones based on stakeholders’ requirements, available resources, and dependencies
- Collects project requirements for all stakeholders and evaluates project feasibility based on available resources
- Adopts industry best practices through all stages of project execution
- Identifies risks and resource gaps while measuring project metrics to identify/resolve inefficiencies
- Updates stakeholders on project progress
- Works closely with other members of the engineering department to implement and improve engineering process and engineering project management practices including:

- Initiating and running internal project management improvement & training activities, such as retrospectives, focused training exercises, and process improvement workshops
- Suggesting and implementing engineering process improvements
- Mentoring and coaching other employees on best practices in engineering project management and engineering process
- Improving the department’s ability to reliably forecast and maintain project schedule, while meeting product quality and functionality targets
- Motivates team members and keeps focus through setting objectives, tracking, and showcasing progress
- Provides certainty and direction to stakeholders through clear decision-making in ambiguous environments
- Ensures clear communication structures internally between engineering teams as well as other external departments
- Assists in maintaining high-level organizational workflows and communication to allow for better execution at the project level

**Education / Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field is required
- Specific education in a relevant area of expertise (project management) is preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management is required
- Management and leadership experience required
- Experience with hardware product development is required
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with mínimal supervision is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Certification from PMI is desired
- Fluency in English is required
