SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), a company owned by the Swiss Stock exchange, is building the first market infrastructure in the world to offer a fully integrated end to end trading, settlement and custody service for digital assets.

At SDX the CTO is responsible for the build, operation and maintenance of SDX technology platform and is tasked with making executive technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investment decisions that align the company with their vision. You should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, an expert in technological development and have a strong sense of team culture. You will be responsible to supervise the use of Information Technology (IT) in a regulated Digital Market Infrastructure provider.

You will work directly under the Head SIX Digital Exchange and will act as a technology expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company. To be successful, you will have in-depth knowledge of the current and up-and-coming trends in the IT field.

**What You Will Do**:

- Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company and implement new IT strategies and working with executive team and stakeholders to understand potential benefits and limitations of Digital Asset technology
- Maintaining a customer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivering of IT projects to market in addition create and adapt technological platforms to improve the client experience and creating a roadmap for the development and deployment of all technological services
- Plan and direct the implementation of new IT systems and making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements and ensuring that the technological platform meets the company's short and long-term needs and staying on top of market trends and developments.
- Setting the culture for the technology organisation and provide leadership to IT specialists and other staff within the company including acting as a mentor to team members.
- Monitor changes in the technology sector to discover ways the company can improve and develop and outline the goals for research and development including managing technology budgets and time frames.
- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and develop goals and strategies to ensure the IT department runs smoothly inlcuding operate and monitor all SDX systems to ensure appropriate levels of service to client and market and supervise the networks and computer systems in the company to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot data-related issues and establish regular maintenance.

**What You Bring**:

- Master/Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 8 years working in a technological role with experience in IT and Data management including strong capital market knowledge and experience.
- Experience in crypto currencies and digital assets. Potentially also has private ledger such as R3 Corda implementation experience and advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated history with technology.
- Proven Management experience in leading and guiding teams with exceptional team management skills and excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to delegate efficiently
- Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future and has extensive real-world experience of blockchain and distributed ledger technology
- Good understanding of modern databases and information system technologies
