**OBJECTIVES**:
The purpose of the role is to:
- Be the reliable interface on behalf of Takeda to the international organisations that represent patient communities relying on plasma derived therapies (PDTs)
- Initiate and maintain strategic partnerships with patient organisations with a view to increase diagnosis and standards of care in therapeutic areas that rely on plasma derived therapies
- Integrate advocacy strategies in Takeda’s global cross functional plans and projects to advance access to plasma derived therapies globally.
- Empower local affiliates to initiate and implement local advocacy programs in PDT related therapeutic areas at country level
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Identify and map advocacy organisations in therapeutic areas that rely on plasma derived therapies
- Analyse shared objectives with international advocacy organisations that represent patients who rely on plasma derived therapies; establish collaboration and partnerships with these organisations to advance shared objectives
- Establish global advocacy strategic plans and tactics; integrate these in Takeda annual global strategic planning cycles through cross functional collaboration
- Build a strong internal network and develop tools to empower local affiliates for implementing local advocacy strategies and programs that advance diagnosis and standards of care for persons who rely on plasma derived therapies at country level
- Represent Takeda at patient community events where appropriate and engage external stakeholders
- Manage process for requests from advocacy organisations for funding of activities; analyse requests within framework of pharmaceutical code of conduct and make recommendations to Takeda PDT Review Committee; oversee contracting and payment process
- Plan and manage annual budgets

- Experience with offline and online systems to process funding approval requests in line with pharmaceutical code of conduct

**EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**:
- Embed ‘Takedaism’ (PTRB) in decision-making processes
- Language skills: Fluent in English and preferably in one (or two) other languages
- Respecting diversity, equity and inclusion; proven experience having applied these values
- Deep experience in patient community engagement, in an international/ global setting
- Proven experience working in an international environment engaging stakeholders from different cultures and backgrounds
