Take the next step in your career at ABB by becoming part of the CTO headquarters team as a Treasury Specialist in the FX, Commodity and Interest Rate Risk Management Team. CTO is the “in-house bank” of ABB and responsible for managing financial exposures of ABB Group as well as managing the Group’s liquidity. As the main interface between ABB and the external financial world, CTO is the central contact for most financial activities of ABB companies. In this role you will be responsible along with other Front Office team members of CTO for daily operations resulting from Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate and Commodity transactions requested by the Business. Manage the risks related to these transactions and add value by warehousing the risks within predefined limits. Assist in monitoring, analyzing and explaining the structure of FX and Commodity hedges and their impact on ABB’s results. Support Businesses in optimizing FX and Commodity Risk and help drive simplification and standardization of hedging solutions.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Oversee CTO’s front office operations for ABB group companies with respect to their financial risk management (FX and Commodity hedging) and funding / liquidity management (short term loans and deposits).
- Effectively manage FX, Interest Rate and Commodity Risk and create added value by warehousing internal flows within predefined limits.
- Contribute to Inter-company netting, payment-on-behalf of solutions, specific management of financial flows (e.g. dividend, M&A related, etc.), treasury system upgrades and other solution development projects.
- Liaise with Businesses to review and optimize the management of FX and Commodity risks as well as the reporting of results. In collaboration with Treasury Business Partners, recommend hedging solutions to minimize risk and volatility at Divisional level.
- Understand FX, Commodity and Interest Rates market price movements and their associated effects on the valuation of outstanding derivative hedge contracts.
- Contribute to FX and Commodity specific aspects of M&A activities (divestments, acquisitions) and similar projects (portfolio management, changes in legal entity structures, etc.)
- Provide expert advice on core Treasury Group policies (and manage any exception requests and approvals) Maintain intensive contact with external banks to further business relations.
- Participate in internal and external trainings and industry events to ensure a continuous high level of knowledge.

**Your background**:

- University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Finance or Business
- Minimum 12 years treasury experience in corporate treasury or banking (FX, Commodity, Interest Rate): hands-on experience with FX hedging strategies and solutions and related concepts (market rates developments, valuations, instruments and general markets knowledge)
- Broad experience in trading/transacting FX, Interest Rate and Commodity Products combined with excellent understanding of the associated risks
- Knowledge/experience of how market risks and hedging strategies impact business results (pricing, costing, quoting, contracting and clauses, impact on earnings and cash-flow)
- Good understanding of treasury accounting & reporting and or controlling
- Strong passion for financial markets in general
- Good financial, analytical and risk management skills
- Strong team player with collaboration and business partnering skills
- Excellent communication (both verbally and in writing) and presentation skills
- Quick learner willing to take the initiative, work independently, develop/implement ideas and proposals. Flexible team player with good interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
