For our QC Microbiology team in Bern, we are looking for an open-minded, goal driven, motivated senioer team leader.

**Senior Team Leader QC Microbiology**

**Main Responsibilities**
- Lead the Quality Control microbiology group focusing on execution of stability, in-process control, environmental monitoring and raw material testing
- Author/review/approve documents from processes and provide leadership and management to these processes
- Ensure compliance of processes with global and local policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement projects within Quality Control in operational efficiency and GMP compliance
- Support inspections during preparation, execution and follow up
- Ensure that out of specification results and deviations are properly investigated, appropriate and effective CAPAs are defined and implemented
- Support management in defining budget and managing resources
- Set team goals and objectives in line with company business objectives
- Supervise and coach the QC Microbiology team of highly skilled technicians and scientists and support their development and the performance of appraisals
- Build a strong team to expand, strengthen and to maintain the current knowledge base and expertise within QC to reflect changing business needs

**Qualifications**:
**Job Qualifications**
- University degree in natural sciences, microbiology, applied sciences or equivalent working experience
- A minimum of 5 years of GMP experience in Pharma, Biotech or Vaccine industry
- Sound knowledge of microbiological laboratory operations and practices
- Experienced in overseeing and leading a team of technicians and scientists to meet a common goal while adhering to all associated timelines for multiple projects
- Must be well organized, a self-starter, results oriented individual with the ability to multitask in a fast paced team environment with attention to detail and good documentation practice
- Good leadership capabilities and communication skills
- Experience of working in a matrix organization and in an international environment
- Strong strategic and conceptual skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Flexible, pragmatic, however determined to set aims and reach goals
- Ability to prioritize and to endure peak times
- Proactive attitude, challenging the status quo, team builder
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required in German and in English
