Working with Motion, you will drive the Division in achieving world class quality performance. The Division Global Quality Manager will translate customer quality requirements into internal strategies, policies, procedures and metrics. The role also includes responsibility for supplier quality and supplier sustainability auditing, supplier quality and sustainability will require close collaboration with Division SCM (Supply Chain Management) function. The position will be both customers facing as well as a key strategic leader on the Global Division Operations quality function. This position will develop strategies in collaboration with the Local Divisions, Division functions and other related functions and drive policies, procedures and metrics to reach desired goals. He/she is expected to provide influential direction and advise the Division Management Team on industry best practices and trends. The role is responsible for driving the Division supplier, internal and customer quality metrics such as Field PPM, Supplier Quality, CCRP process performance, OPQ (Opportunity from Perfecting Quality).

**Your responsibilities**:

- Strategy: Develops, communicates, and implements the division quality strategy, ensuring that strategy is aligned
- Leadership: Act as the Quality advocate both inside and outside of the Division, build the quality culture. Proactively investigate critical to customer characteristics and create atmosphere of awareness of customer/market requirements throughout the organization
- Create the overall direction for consistent quality methodologies, processes, and procedures across all operations of the Division
- Create clear distribution of responsibilities between local and global Division Quality organization. Create a positive working environment within own team and other Functions
- Technology: Works with Division management/BA Domain Community to help them to select appropriate technology and to validate that processes, training and technology is being considered appropriately
- Works within the BA Quality Community to ensure that specific business needs are understood, and specific solutions are implemented in common tools.
- Network with industry thought leaders to determine best practices and ideas from outside of ABB
- People leadership and development: Identify current and future resource needs and work with Division management to ensure that the Quality organization is properly staffed and retained.
- Subject Matter Expert: Maintains an external awareness and perspective of end-to-end Quality management, especially best practices relating to the Division market requirements and business models. Facilitates the sharing of best practices and ensures harmonized and standardized processes/solutions throughout the Division to deliver consistent performance and to boost collaboration and gain economy of scale
- Competency Development: Lead organizational development of the Quality function throughout the Division. Coaches and trains local units in developing detailed gap analyses across the value chain and provides solutions to reach expected quality levels and related market requirements. Accountable for ensuring that Global Quality Function is a competent and qualified organization. Implements the deployment of division competency assessments and strategy.

**Your background**:

- BS/BA in Operations, Business, Engineering or related field and minimum 10 years’ experience of progressive growth in quality leadership roles
- Six Sigma Black Belt certified
- Executive level internal and external communication skills and experience
- Good networking, social skills and multicultural collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead a geographically distributed and multicultural team of direct and indirect report
- Cultural awareness, good communication, good argumentation, and ability to convince and sell
- Experience in leading and influencing a team of Quality managers and cross functional leaders in a large, multinational organization
- Ability analyze as is situation, make a gap analysis towards vision/target stage and build road map to close gap’s
- Ability to develop, visualize, communicate/sell and functional vision/target stage that aligns with overall Division strategy
- Ability to move between high level and detail level topics as needed to solve task at hand and maintain direction towards long term targets/strategy
