**Head of Project Management Office (80-100%)**:

In this role you will be responsible for managing Project Management Office (PMO) consisting of Project Management, Planning and project controls, Project support and Transport operations functions, supporting the portfolio of electrification, drives, automation, digitalization and instrumentation solutions serving Mining, Aluminum and Cement industries. You will be overseeing the execution of international projects for our customers worldwide within the Process Industries Division, based in Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland. By leading the PMO, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by providing excellent services at all stages of the projects, as well as guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the team. This position reports to the Local Business Line Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading the PMO and being accountable for achieving the operational business targets on the local portfolio level (revenues, profitability, cash, net working capital, productivity, operational excellence and safety).
- Responsible for PMO department cost center budget and performance.
- Ensuring the local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices, contract specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments.
- Driving the project execution and performance management through project reviews, taking an active role in resolving escalations; driving the contracts and claims management. Overseeing that project closure is performed properly and timely for all projects in the portfolio.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers and other key stakeholders of the PMO. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues.
- Ensuring that ABB policies, i.e. directives, instructions and guidelines are followed. Developing, and continuously improves respective processes, based on industry best practices. Ensuring that findings from lessons learned from project execution are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
- Developing PMO organization. Planning, assigning and managing project resources based on competencies, project fit and availability. Developing the project management capacity and capability.
- Leading, coaching and guiding team to achieve business objectives and preparing for the future in line with growth and innovation strategies.

**Your background**:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in relevant industry and/or function
- Proven track record in the field of execution of system projects in relevant industries
- High level of leadership and management experience with a strategic mindset, financial acumen and a strong technical flair
- A university degree in Engineering/Business Administration
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong English written and spoken communication, as well as relationship-building skills
- Fluency in English
