Director, Group Controlling

Scandit is adding to our Finance & Accounting team. As the Director, Group Controller, you will assume global leadership of all aspects of the business's accounting and reporting functions, leading both the accounting and tax accounting departments. In your role, you will be supervising day-to-day operations, end-of-period processes and supporting the analysis of the periodical business performance, budgets, and forecasts. You will also be leading the design, implementation and monitoring of various core business processes based on industry best practises, including order-to-cash, revenue recognition, billing & dunning, as well as source-to-pay and accounts payable. Furthermore, you will be spearheading the establishment of departmental risk management procedures and practises.

This role requires a seasoned financial accountant, who has experience of designing and running a global finance function and enjoys assuming process & management responsibility. The role will be reporting directly to the CFO and work closely with other leadership functions such as Sales, Operations, etc. This is an excellent opportunity to build a management track record with a highly successful technology company in its global expansion stage.

**What You Will Do**
- Oversee & lead the global accounting practice
- Lead, develop & grow the inhouse Rev Rec, AR, AP, and Accounting teams
- Responsible for the monthly close process, preparation of timely filling of all local, state and federal tax returns
- Assure conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with IFRS and/or GAAP
- Manage & coordinate external accounting & tax supplier relationships
- Develop and implement financial policies and standards and the documentation thereof
- Identify, acquire and implement systems and software, primarily ERP and CRM, to provide timely and accurate financial and operational information
- Review and analyse monthly financial results and provide recommendations; develop and maintain operational budgets for each reporting entity
- Design, document, implement and run scalable finance & accounting processes. Ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software
- Provide capital markets compliant financial statutory and group financial reporting
- Support automation initiatives and projects across the back office
- Build out internal/external functions including Risk Management and Tax

**Who You Are**:

- 10+ years of experience of accounting, consolidation & controlling, managing accountants and the accounting process, at either
- at a large cap corporation
- at a late-stage high growth technology business with global footprint
- Profound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) + International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Degree in accounting, ideally CPA licence
- Strong process-orientation with good understanding of F&A best practises
- Experience managing F&A teams and running core F&A processes (order-to-cash, revenue recognition, source-to-pay)
- Experience with public market reporting requirements & risk management
- Experience working with financial ledger/ERP software and adapting it to company requirements
- Experience with financial integration of Mergers and Acquisitions
- Affinity to automate and leverage technology to eliminate spreadsheets
- Experience with growth stage tech (software/SaaS) companies and international expansion
- Hands-on team player, willing to go the extra mile
- English a must, German/French a plus
