The department
The Communications & CSR department is responsible for external and internal communication at the bank. The team ensures the conception, implementation and execution of communication strategies and actions that help strengthen and improve the bank’s external reputation and perception, while shaping and firming the company’s culture internally.
The role
We are looking for a VP Communications to lead its media relations and internal communications in Switzerland and for the International Private Bank’s EMEA region.
Based in Zurich, you will create and execute a proactive communications plan to increase DB’s visibility and improve its reputation with relevant stakeholders in Switzerland and coordinate IPB activities in the EMEA region.
Your role will encompass a range of communications activities including:
Media relations (pro-active media outreach, story pitching, brand building, business and product promotion),
Create and execute proactive internal and external communications plan to support our culture, increase DB’s visibility externally and improve its reputation with relevant stakeholders in Switzerland and EMEA.
Build processes and communication formats suitable to grow share of voice and proactively initiated media coverage on business and corporate topics - using all available channels.
Continuously and actively manage relationships with various stakeholders and interest groups internally and externally, including editors and reporters, the front office, legal, compliance and finance functions.
Support the senior stakeholders with their communication needs (Speech writing and editing, organizing content and logistics for town halls etc.)
Global, regional, and Swiss internal communications such as writing, editing and publishing announcements and articles,
Support the marketing team and the business by reviewing communications to ensure quality
Contribute to the m internal newsletter
Collaboration with the Investment office on ideas and events
Oversee communication agencies and other third parties as needed.
Leading the CSR activities for Switzerland
You will work in partnership with the business, Chief Investment Office, Marketing, Strategy and other functions on content related to everything from client events to investment research to communicating changes in regulatory policy to bankers and customers.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience of frontline media relations and internal communicationsExperience in the Wealth Management sectorStrong, relevant media relationships in SwitzerlandCrisis communications experienceProven ability to translate into communication strategies and actionsExperience with digital communicationsExperience with large complex matrix organizations and internal stakeholder management in an international environmentThriving in a fast paced, high pressure environmentExperience leading CSR projectsA good knowledge of European and global economics and politics.Native/near-native proficiency in English and GermanBachelor’s degree, Masters preferred
