**About** the role**:

- The Head of Functions of the Future is responsible for leading the transformation of key functions or business units to be fit for the future. He/She has a clear vision for how digitization and automation will disrupt the current functions and businesses, and how to translate the vision into an integrated roadmap of transformative initiatives and projects focused on mapping and scaling lean and stable processes, digital technologies, quality and data infrastructure.
- The individual works closely with functional and business units executives and senior (business excellence) management to identify gaps and areas of improvement, emerging trends and technologies, and to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to transform the function.
- He/She is responsible for Business Process Management and process mining to discover, monitor and improve real-life business processes to enhance organizational efficiency and reduce costs by identifying and rectifying inefficient business processes.
- The Head of Functions of the Future establishes and coordinates a team to effectively identify and run a portfolio of projects and initiatives to functions to best-in-class performance.
- He/She will define the journey, and support the operating units, regions and functions to make Takeada future ready.

**_ SCOPE _**

The Head of Functions of the Future is a critical role in leading the transformation of any function or business unit within Takeda to be fit for the future. The role connects across the organization and communicates broadly across all layers in the organization on functions improvement strategies at global, network, and site level. The Head of Functions of the Future deploys Business Process Management across GMSGY Functions and Business Units.

**How you will contribute**:

- Develops and implements a comprehensive strategies to transform functions to be fit for the future (20%)
- Brings cutting edge industry knowledge and identifies emerging trends and technologies and assess their potential impact on the respective function and evaluates opportunities to scale digitalization and automation use cases (20%)
- Builds and leads a team of transformation specialists and project managers to perform design sprints and develop roadmaps. Establishes and manages blueprints specific to each function and lifecycle management (periodic updates). Coordinates efforts to define and harmonize technologies and structures. (25%)
- Works collaboratively with other executives and senior management to potential for improvement and to achieve transformation goals (15%)
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization (10%)
- Develops and implements metrics to measure the success of transformation initiatives to support global business benefit realization (10%)
- Communicates progress and results of transformation initiatives to key stakeholders and senior management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

- Must be current with industry trends and technologies and is able to identify emerging trends and technologies and their potential impact on functions
- Is a visionary on how to leverage emerging trends and technologies with specific knowledge on automation and digitalization at scale to accelerate our transformation; strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must have broad and deep experience in Functional Excellence standard practices and techniques and hands
- on experience in all aspects of pharma and biopharmaceuticals operations.
- Strong management skills, with a focus on transformation and innovation in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
