**Postdoc Position in Ultrafast Vibrational Spectroscopy of CO2 Reduction**
**80 % **:In the context of a newly approved research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation, a postdoc position is available at the Research Group of Prof. Peter Hamm at the Department of Chemistry, University of Zurich, Switzerland. The project plans to elucidate the reaction cycles of molecular and solid-state CO2 reduction systems by time-resolved IR and 2D IR spectroscopy. The overall project plans to combine electrochemical techniques with femtosecond laser spectroscopy, two research fields that traditionally have little overlap. The project is a follow up of our work in photocatalytic water splitting, and representative publications are (albeit not yet on CO2 reduction):

**Your responsibilities**: Integrated in an international research group consisting of a mix of PhD students and postdocs, and of Chemist and Physicist, you will first adapt existing experimental instrumentation to the specific needs of the planned experiments, and then pursue the laser-based spectroscopic measurements.
