**Your role**

Do you have experience in the asset management industry with a focus on collective investment schemes in Switzerland? Are you having a deep understanding of fund management companies related matters, including relationships with service providers? In addition, are you interested in new technologies such as digital ledger technologies, crypto currencies and their Legal framework development?
We are looking for someone with such skills to join our team on a permanent basis to
- advise towards governance related matters with a main focus on Switzerland in the field of management companies and other CISA authorized firms
- advise on Swiss fund matters (UBS as well as white-label funds) and other collective investment schemes (in particular Swiss limited partnerships for collective investment - UBS CEIS family) and investment foundations (“Anlagestiftungen”)
- provide advice and lead projects (from a legal point of view) at the interface between funds, other collective investment schemes and new technologies in close collaboration with dedicated SME teams across UBS Group
- support various initiatives with a focus on UBS Asset Management’s Products business with legal, regulatory and governance knowhow (e.g., ESG, class actions, proxy voting, etc.).

**Your team**

You will be joining UBS Asset Management Fund Legal team for EMEA & CH, an international in-house legal department with team members in Zürich, Basel, London, Luxembourg, Paris, and Dublin. You will be working in Basel or Zurich. We provide our Asset Management business units in EMEA & CH with high-quality legal advice, tailor-made solutions and actively support them in the development and structuring of new offerings. Our goal is to make sure our business counterparts get pragmatic, coherent and tailored asset management legal services and are ready for future challenges.

**Your expertise**
- you’re a qualified Swiss lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in the asset management industry, preferably with a fund management company in Switzerland or have been advising such clients as lawyer in private practice for several years
- additional qualifications such as bar exam, LL.M., etc. are a strong asset
- have first experiences in advising on new technologies such as DLT, crypto currencies, etc. preferably related to Swiss collective investment schemes or have a strong interest to pro-actively develop skills in these fields
- you’re familiar with regulatory developments in the fund as well as management company / asset management industry in general in Switzerland with a focus on governance related matters and are interested to leverage your knowhow also outside of Switzerland.
- you’re interested to expand your existing coverage area towards other fund platforms and management companies (e.g., Lux. Ireland, Germany, Italy) and/or already have some experience in doing so
- strong lawyer and a great communicator who is used to prioritize and able to deliver solutions towards clients by protecting the interests of the firm in a pragmatic way, very analytical approach, and team player skillset.
- in addition to the main tasks: interested in complex, often international topics with reference points to EU law (e.g., SFDR, UCITS and AIFMD).
- fluent in German and English, additional languages (in particular French or Italian) are an add-on.
