Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Incubation and the General Manager of Web3, this pivotal role requires dynamic cross-functional collaboration with teams in Strategy, Product, Tech, Operations, Legal, and eBay Focus Verticals. You will be instrumental in the launch and expansion of eBay's ground breaking Web3 initiatives. Your core responsibilities will encompass the development and execution of comprehensive strategies and strategic simulations across business, product, and technology sectors. You will craft engaging partner engagement strategies, construct solid cases, and design compelling go-to-market plans. Additionally, you will orchestrate the creation of new capabilities vital to the organization's ongoing success A proactive approach is crucial, as you will not only solve existing challenges but also anticipate and resolve emerging issues, steering the development of groundbreaking solutions. This role demands effective collaboration with eBay’s Web3 leadership team, global focus category executives, and external partners to ensure a unified and strategic approach to eBay's Web3 endeavors. Leading a dedicated team of two strategists, this position is based in either **Bern, Switzerland, or Manchester, UK**. **Depending on your location, regular travel to the alternate city will be required, along with occasional trips to other European countries and the United States.** Embrace this opportunity to craft the future of e-commerce at eBay through innovative leadership and strategic vision. **What You will Accomplish**: - Lead strategy development, strategic analyses, argument modelling and strategic planning for eBay’s web3 initiative. - Build new capabilities and processes needed for eBay’s web3 to work seamlessly within eBay and with external partners. - Co-own delivery of new product launches and nurture collaboration with all internal and external partners from day 1 to day 100 of the launch. - Build and present succinct and compelling narratives for eBay internal partners from C-Level to business unit leadership teams and other eBay teams. - Identify incremental growth opportunities through web3 for eBay and develop cases in together with the web3 leadership team. **What you will bring**: - MBA or other advanced degree or equivalent experience from a credible university. - Demonstrable experience at a premier company in management consulting, and proven experience with consumer facing digital products. - Strong self-motivation and autonomy with the ability to structure unstructured problems, identify the right questions to be asked and develop answers. - Excellent analytic, problem solving, and communication skills, with a track record of delivering high impact strategy projects. - A strong track record/ deep experience of launching digital products to broad consumer audiences. - Direct working experience with blockchain technology. - Great teammate with shown success in partnering with cross functional teams, senior business leaders, direct reports and global colleagues.
