Sandoz has embraced a bold strategy to drive a company-wide digital transformation. This includes the development and implementation of the Sandoz enterprise-wide digital strategy that leverages data and digital to develop and handle a strategic digital portfolio that delivers a significant share of value to Sandoz within 3 years. This will drive deployment of digital and data technologies and ways of working to achieve enterprise-wide strategic objectives across Portfolio and Pipeline, Customer Engagement and Sales Operations. The Sandoz Digital Strategy is led by the Sandoz Chief Digital Officer and co-owned with the Sandoz Executive Committee (SEC) The role is critical for the development, ownership and management of digital commercial excellence, focusing primarily on online channels. The role will lead the development and roll out of a companywide e-commerce, marketplace strategy including online strategic partnership. The role holder is expected to own and deploy a customer-centric, data driven approach to drive development of existing and new online sales channels. The role holder reports to the Global Head Customer Engagement and engages, influences and aligns with senior stakeholders across regions (Country Heads, Comex Heads, Regional Digital Heads etc), functions and division, to understand market dynamics and requirements in order to drive programs with a value / impact based approach. The role holder is responsible to design, define and drive delivery across Sandoz markets and partners at global scale, including clear sales value objectives and return on investment. Position to be located in Hoki, Germany or Basel, Switzerland. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Ownership of Customer Engagement Digital Commercial Excellence Strategy, focusing primarily on online channels: E-commerce and Marketplace strategy including online strategic Partnership (EMP) - Development of overall EMP strategy, including channel selection, technology and business requirements as well as definition of commercial models and go to market strategy - Drive agile proof of concepts to validate business case and operational model before scaling up globally across regions - Build new commercial models that are in line with changing industry models - Ensure successful implementation of EMP e strategies and build out longer term plans with a clear business case and return on investment - Assess and educate collaborators on readiness for EMP across owned and third-party channels and educate company partners on our EMP capabilities and the overarching ecosystem - Work closely with peers and senior stakeholders across regions (Country Heads, Comex Heads, Regional Digital Heads etc to demonstrate internal digital eco-system (web portal, content, engagement center, hub, CRM, etc) as well as existing commercial teams and models to identify business problems and use cases to address - Drive development and use of customer 360, marketing mix model and other AI/ML/advanced analytics capability with data strategy team to optimize channel use and enhance customer experience **Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion**: - Novartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve._ **Minimum requirements** What you will bring to the role: - Proficiency in English (oral and written) as well as University degree or various degrees in science and/or business preferred, or comparable work experience - Minimum >8 years of digital experience related to commercial, including implementing and scaling digital solutions - Extensive hands-on experience in building (from strategy to execution) Global E-Commerce and Marketplace presence, including both business and technical aspects (e.g. 50 plus countries) - Understand the end-to-end Commerce process and technologies involved, on-platform and off - platform - Experience in Global multichannel and digital marketing arena, Pharma experience ideal - Ability to work effectively across geographies and cultures, establish relationships, collaborate and influence within a complex matrix organization, at ease with uncertainty and ambiguity - Solid understanding of Global digital landscape, development processes and methodologies¨ - Senior, executive level presentation skills with ability to communicate and engage at all levels within the organization - Demonstrated business expertise and the ability to consult internally and/or externally - Possess strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale **Division** SANDOZ **Business Unit** Digital SZ **Country** Switzerland **Work Location** Basel **Company/Legal Entity** Sandoz AG **Functional Area** Marketing **Job Type** Full Time **Employment Type** Regular **Shift Work** No **Early Talent** No
