The Family Office team's coverage model includes Single and Multi-Family Offices of all sizes across EMEA. In Europe, BlackRock manages close to $57bn on behalf of these clients. Client holdings are invested broadly across asset classes, with a focus on ETFs, active and alternatives products. The business offers a unique platform and value-added proposition to these discrete market segments through: • The firm's vast investment and sourcing network, facilitating access to thought leadership from the broad expertise within the firm • The breadth of investment expertise, including innovative and bespoke investment solutions • In-house events that connect Family Office executives • Best-in-class risk management tools • BlackRock's reputational advantage, without any perceived conflicts of interest • The firm and team's fiduciary culture About this Role We are looking for a mid-experienced salesperson to join BlackRock's Family Office business in the Romandie and Ticino region. This is an established, multi-billion AUM business with a strong track record, as illustrated by the large range of clients that we have in region and the fact that, notwithstanding its existing scale, it is experiencing double digit growth. The successful candidate will be responsible to help senior members manage existing relationships, as well as developing new business with Single Family Offices, Multi Family Offices, Private Foundations, and Family Owned businesses across Romandie and Ticino. The candidate will be representing the entire range of BlackRock's investment capabilities – including traditional long-only strategies (active and index), alternative investments (including recent acquisitions such as GIP or HPS), and OCIO solutions – to Family Office clients in the region. The successful candidate will also be working together with the extensive partner resources that BlackRock has in Geneva through its iShares & Wealth (iSW) and Institutional businesses. They will be able to leverage the breadth of the BlackRock platform, engaging with portfolio managers, product specialists, and market specialists from BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) among others, to bring the entirety of our offering to Family Office clients and prospects. Key Responsibilities: Strategy • Design and implement an ambitious local sales strategy together with senior RMs • Define and own success metrics, e.g. diversification of book, share of wallet, market share etc. • Ensure a disciplined approach to pipeline usage, client segmentation and client prioritization, to optimize the firm's commercial success Business Development • Develop long-term relationships with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Family Office within the target market, ultimately delivering upon financial objectives in terms of assets, net new revenue, new mandates, and product diversification • Proactively manage existing relationships; identify and defend at-risk business • Identify and pursue new investment opportunities through consultative dialogues with investors • Work collaboratively with partners across BlackRock globally, including specialist BlackRock investment groups, other sales teams, and client servicing teams, to meet clients' needs and objectives • Exploit the full breadth of the firm's expertise and strategies to bring innovative and timely ideas and solutions to clients • Develop product fluency across the full range of BlackRock's investment options - including a broad range of ETF and index offerings, alternative strategies, and active equity, fixed income and multi-asset funds Thought leadership • Attend relevant internal and external events to further develop the profile of the business in the region • Identify opportunities for roadshows to accelerate product adoption by client segment • Develop thought leadership to help drive growth, working with marketing and product partners in particular Key qualifications Ideally, we are looking for a mid-experienced relationship manager with proven business success covering Wealth or Institutional clients in the Romandie. The individual should be able to talk about markets and have a relatively broad, whole portfolio conversation with clients.
