Head of Molecular Agroecology and Plant Ecology Research Group

Agroscope is seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to lead its Molecular Agroecology and Plant Ecology Research Group. As the Head of the Group, you will be responsible for managing the research activities, developing new molecular biology analysis methods, and acquiring third-party funding for research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the research group and analytical chemistry laboratory in agroecology and molecular phytoecology
- Develop and implement innovative research projects in the field of molecular biology
- Acquire third-party funding for research projects and develop new molecular biology analysis methods
- Represent the Group in expert groups, organizations, and committees at national and international levels
- Publish research results in national and international scientific journals and establish a national and international network of scientific partners
- University degree with a PhD in molecular biology or a comparable qualification
- Scientific knowledge in the Group's research field and experience in management
- Leadership ability, team-mindedness, good communication skills, stress resistance, and a passion for agricultural research
- Experience managing major national or international research projects and/or managing a core facility
- Extensive professional network in the research field
- Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English
