Cost Management Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Director to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for delivering complex construction projects and acting as the primary interface with our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final estimate.
- Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels, and compile feasibility studies.
- Prepare procurement reports and manage all aspects of procurement, including pre-qualification, tender lists, tender analysis, and contractual documents.
- Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes, and lead value engineering initiatives.
- Produce monthly cost reports, including presentations to clients, and maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages.
- Provide leadership to the cost management team and ensure the delivery of appointed services scope.
- Identify opportunities for new business development and implement improvements to cost management procedures, templates, and products.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost management, with experience leading cost management commissions for large construction projects.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
- People management experience, particularly in managing a team delivering a project.
- Sound technical experience in all cost management areas, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
- Good understanding of mechanical, process, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as civils, structural, and architectural aspects.
- Experience in the Swiss construction industry with knowledge of contractual documentation is advantageous.
- English skills are required, and fluent German and/or French language skills are preferred.
