The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a motivated Lab Service Associate to perform a wide range of tasks in a laboratory setting.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a leading pharmaceutical company in Basel. In addition to a competitive salary and regular working hours, we offer a performance-based annual bonus and a pension contribution.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00

What You Bring:

Education: Completed vocational training and interest in the natural sciences

Work Experience: Practical experience in laboratory logistics is desirable, but not required; we can train you as a newcomer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Reliable work ethic
  • Enjoy interacting with customers; friendly and courteous demeanor
  • Excellent German language skills are a must
  • Good English language skills in writing and speaking are required
  • Proficiency in common Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with laboratory behavior rules (health, safety, environment) is an advantage
  • GxP knowledge is an advantage

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Transporting canisters, gas cylinders, glassware, or laboratory materials to the corresponding logistics zones
  • Waste management and disposal
  • Collecting canisters, filling and redistributing them in the laboratory
  • Proper sterilization of laboratory materials, packaging, etc.
  • Proper cleaning of glassware
  • Distributing relevant containers and glassware in the laboratory
  • Point-of-Use management
  • Performing various supporting tasks around the laboratory
