We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Operations Specialist to join our team at Company 81 - Manulife Data Services Inc. in Ontario, Canada. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the completion of daily business deliverables and adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements and Schedules of Services. They will work closely with Investment Operations and other internal/external teams on process and production updates and issues relevant to task completion. The candidate will also review Cash and Position exceptions as part of the Recon Governance model and deliver or quality-check simple to complex data-structured dashboards. Additionally, they will lead operational process improvements, recommend tactical solutions/initiatives, and actively participate in projects such as system transitions (UAT), process transformations, compliance, audit, and regulatory facilitated requirements.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field;
- At least five years of related work experience;
- CISI certifications, CPA/CFA designation is an advantage;
- Project Management and Operational Excellence training/certification such as PMO, Agile - SCRUM, Six Sigma an advantage;
- Operational experience in functions related to Investments/Market Operations such as reconciliations, asset servicing, settlements, onboarding, static;
- Intermediate knowledge of different investment products required;
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills;
- A track record of continuous improvement projects leveraging Power Platform is an advantage;
- Experience delivering automation projects in collaboration with Robotics and Machine Learning Technology teams is an advantage;
- Knowledge in third-party financial data platforms eg. OMGEO, Bloomberg is an advantage.
