Mechanical Fitter Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive breakdown maintenance work in the Refinery Area of our process plant. You will have experience working on a wide variety of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fixed plant piping, valves, and be familiar with laser alignment procedures. Previous experience with high-pressure and high-temperature Autoclaves will also be an advantage.
About You
This role would suit a driven Mechanical Fitter with previous experience working in a similar hydrometallurgical process plant who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)
- A current and valid manual Australian Driver's licence
- Proven experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
- Proven experience working with all types of fixed plant piping, valves, and laser alignment
- Previous Autoclave experience (desirable)
- Experience working with area permit systems; safe work instructions and hazard identification
- Strong communication skills & excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities.
