Mechanical Planner

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Planner to join our team at Glencore. As a Mechanical Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling plant maintenance to ensure minimum asset downtime and increase asset availability.
You will support shutdown activities by providing consistent quality work orders in a timely fashion and optimize plant availability, reliability, performance, and safety through planned maintenance strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Trade Qualification, experience in CMMS, and knowledge of modern maintenance planning and scheduling philosophies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling plant maintenance to minimize downtime
- Supporting shutdown activities with quality work orders
- Optimizing plant availability and reliability
- Improving maintenance performance through schedule development
- Maintaining effective interaction with maintenance and production departments
About You
This role would suit a Mechanical Planner with experience in CMMS and a fixed plant/refinery environment. You will have a strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling philosophies and be able to communicate effectively across departments.
Key requirements include:
- Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Experience in CMMS
- Knowledge of modern maintenance planning and scheduling philosophies
- Proven ability to plan and schedule for multiple areas and disciplines
- Effective communication skills
