About the Role
Company 81 - Manulife Data Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Platform Administrator. As a key member of our Platform Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data platforms and providing top-notch support to our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in platform upgrades and maintenance, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on platform processes, policies, and configurations.
- Provide exceptional user support services, including creating and tracking user requests, updating JIRA tickets, and maintaining a clean and organized JIRA dashboard.
- Offer consulting services, analyzing business enhancement requests and working with vendors to provide estimates and solutions.
- Produce regular status updates and reports, including access audit reports and group audit reports.
- Optimize processes and lead process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation and application enhancement.
- Provide Tier 2 support for platforms and processes, participating in and leading improvement projects, implementations, and upgrades.
- Be available to work off-hours and extended shifts as required, providing on-call support as part of the Platform Support team rotation.
- Proactively own incidents and issues until resolution, logging and tracking system problems through resolution.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external resources, technology vendors, and outsourcing service providers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Experience: At least two to three years of relevant experience in IT operations.
- Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability to work onsite and from home as needed.
- Shift Schedule: Amenability to work on assigned schedules as required.
- Minimum Skills to Hire:
- Knowledge of Windows Outlook, MS Teams, and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- 4 or more years' progressive experience in a large, multinational organization, preferably in the financial or insurance industry.
- 4 or more years' specific hands-on experience in administration.
- Preferred Skills:
- Informatica (PowerCenter, DIH, TDM).
- MicroStrategy.
- Business Objects & Crystal Reports.
- JIRA & Confluence.
- SharePoint Online.
- Hanzo.
- Alfresco.
