About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Platform Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our trading environment, implementing configuration changes, and engineering monitoring solutions. Your expertise in Ansible, Nagios, and ElasticSearch will enable you to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure seamless system operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting incidents and troubleshooting within the trading environment
  • Implementing and supporting configuration changes using Ansible
  • Engineering monitoring solutions with Nagios and ElasticSearch
  • Managing deployments and releases
  • Managing debugging failures within environments and coordinating with Infrastructure Engineers or Development teams
  • Supporting applications operating on Cloud Platforms
  • Operating and implementing solutions within batch management tooling (Control-M)
  • Supporting devOps tools including Jenkins, Confluence, Jira, Artifactory, GIT, and VAULT
  • Working on-call rota for support
  • Working on Disaster Recovery tests

Requirements
  • IT Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Proven experience working within the Financial industry and supporting within Trading environments
  • Motivated candidate willing to learn and operate with DevOps tools
  • Motivated to learn new technologies and modern Cloud practices
  • Experience supporting with Java applications on Unix platforms
  • Proven experience of strong scripting skills (shell and Python)
  • Strong English communication skills, German a bonus

Nice to Have
  • Experience working with WAF (Web Application Firewall)
  • Strong background with scripting (Ansible configuration management experience a bonus)
