Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Sciences, Horizon Europe Project

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of St, working on the Horizon Europe project NOSTRADAMUS. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the development of a centralised Data Cube Ecosystem and multifunctional open-source digital applications for the EU agricultural sector.
Your Responsibilities- Conduct high-quality research and analysis of agricultural market and socio-economic data for farm decision making and policy creation.
- Investigate the socio-economic impact of developed digital applications, including cost-benefit analyses.
- Contribute to transferring knowledge and co-designing training activities and materials for key actors in the agricultural sector.
- Publish peer-reviewed papers, present at scientific conferences, and participate in research tasks.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in (Agro) Economics, (Digital) Sociology, Education, Technology, Political Science, or a related social science discipline. You should have a strong interest in academic research and proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, with German language skills being an asset.
Experience in participating in European research projects is an advantage, as is a track record of international publications, third-party funding, and engagement in academic bodies. You should be able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and international research team, motivated by personal and team accomplishments, flexible, efficient, and reliable.
