Cell & Gene Therapy Operations Specialist, Process Optimization

About the Role

Roche is seeking a highly skilled Cell & Gene Therapy Operations Functional Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of business transactions, reliable system functionalities, and compliant processing standards across the end-to-end value chain for Cell & Gene Therapy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in ad hoc workshops to analyze process and design impact, identify roadblocks, and long lead items for ASPIRE.
  • Lead change management activities, including impact assessment, long lead time items identification, transition, stakeholder management, training, and SOP development.
  • Review processes and user requirements for O&EM Operations.
  • Gather information for and perform specific business transactions (sales order, purchase order) to ensure smooth order execution while monitoring and facilitating end-to-end value chain operations to identify potential transactional value chain issues.
  • Provide business support on system/interface related issues in daily operations, perform daily operations, and follow-up on corrective or preventive actions.
  • Analyze performance and drive holistic solutions by understanding processes and tools.
  • Operational excellence: Be responsible for smooth, compliant, and timely transactional execution of the virtual treatment journey (data, transactions, documents) for Flow of Funds, Flow of Goods, and Flow of Documents, of complex individualized and personalized CGTs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain a proactive and close communication with various stakeholders (other PT functions, Global deployment teams, and local functional business units).

Requirements

  • Prior business experience (3+ years) in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and/or consumer goods industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP systems (ERP, and EDI interfaces).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain processes, including customer Service & Order Management.
  • Project management experience in a cross-functional project, experience in CGT operations (commercial & clinical), and understanding of ERP Implementation methodology.
  • Ability to flex and navigate a complex, broad & diverse organization.
  • Able to lead without direct authority, superior problem-solving skills, strong time & self-management skills, outstanding facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented way of working with the ability to perform in an uncertain, ever-changing business environment, with new innovative IT solutions, in a new organization, running a new business model for operations.
  • Proven track record of translating complex problems into innovative solutions and transforming organizational mindset and capability to capture value through optimizing the patient experience.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with a collaborative mindset to manage interactions with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and paying attention to details with critical thinking, open communication, and a sense of urgency.
