SAP Senior Project Manager Job Description

About the Role:

The SAP Senior Project Manager is a crucial member of our team, responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of cloud, on-premise, and hybrid SAP projects. With a focus on managing large-scale strategic projects, this role requires exceptional leadership and project management skills to ensure timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery of project outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver defined project outputs to time, budget, and project quality criteria.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP's Activate project management methodology and best business practices.
  • Provide mentoring to project team members, status communication, and updates to the customer and SAP management.
  • Build credibility and trust with customers during the deal phase and assist in closing software or services deals.
  • Develop and lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, configuration, development, testing, implementation, documentation, training, and closure.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of proven project management experience at a consulting/system integration company.
  • Ideal experience with SAP implementation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, structure, and manage medium- to large-scale projects with modern delivery mixes on time, on budget, and within quality criteria.
  • Fluent German and Business English language skills, with additional languages such as French being beneficial.
