Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Wok Station Cook to join our culinary team at a 5* Hotel. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in busy Asian cuisine kitchens.

The role involves cooking a variety of Asian dishes using traditional wok techniques. Our ideal candidate will be able to maintain the highest quality and presentation of dishes, meeting our culinary standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook Asian dishes using traditional wok techniques.
  2. Ensure the highest quality and presentation of dishes, meeting our standards.
  3. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine recipes.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized wok station.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and manage orders as needed.
  6. Adapt to customer preferences and dietary restrictions.
  7. Participate in menu specials development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Wok Chef or similar role.
  • Proficiency in traditional wok cooking techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine and flavors.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Creative approach to cooking, tailoring dishes to customer preferences.

  • Salary starting from CHF 5,500 Gross per month plus 13th salary.
