We are seeking an experienced Asian Fusion Chef to join our culinary team at a brand new 50 covers restaurant in a renowned 5* Hotel.

The restaurant will offer authentic Chinese cuisine with a twist of Japanese flavors, serving customers throughout the year. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in high-volume Asian cuisine operations.

The role involves preparing and cooking a wide variety of Asian dishes using traditional wok cooking techniques. The successful candidate will ensure the highest quality and presentation of dishes, consistently meeting our culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook Asian dishes using traditional wok cooking techniques.
  2. Ensure the highest quality and presentation of dishes, meeting our culinary standards.
  3. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine recipes.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized wok station, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and manage orders as needed.
  6. Adapt to customer preferences and dietary restrictions while maintaining authenticity.
  7. Participate in menu specials and promotions development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Wok Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Proficiency in traditional wok cooking techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine, ingredients, and flavors.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Creative approach to cooking, tailoring dishes to customer preferences.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.

Benefits:

  • Apartment/Studio accommodation provided.
  • Salary starting from CHF 5,500 Gross per month plus 13th salary.
