Our trading and clearing platform comprises on-prem and cloud capabilities. We are seeking a technically oriented Chief Information Security Officer to build and lead a holistic IT security function focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of RULEMATCH data and IT systems, as well as cybersecurity aspects.

This role involves strategic leadership, hands-on IT security expertise, and the ability to enforce necessary adjustments. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee the company's comprehensive IT security framework, including cybersecurity measures.
  • Ensure security considerations are integrated into every phase of the system development life cycle, prioritizing SecDevOps principles.
  • Continuously evaluate and manage the company's IT risk posture to ensure optimal security.
  • Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in the financial services industry.
  • Promote a culture of strong information security across the organization.
  • Lead incident response and crisis management initiatives.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in information security, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing IT security frameworks and certifications, particularly in highly regulated industries like finance.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and security protocols.
  • Proven working experience as a systems engineer.
  • A university degree in computer science or a related technical field is mandatory; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are highly desirable.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to align security measures with business objectives is crucial.
