We are seeking a technically oriented Chief Information Security Officer to build and lead a holistic IT security function with an equal focus on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and IT systems, as well as the specific aspects of cybersecurity. This role reports directly to the CEO.

As we look for candidates who can bring an effective, hands-on IT Security perspective based on their solid experience as an engineer, we value passionate IT security leaders who can thrive in a technically challenging environment where their contribution is valued as absolutely critical to success.

About the Role
  • Implement and oversee the company's IT security framework, including comprehensive cybersecurity measures.
  • Ensure security considerations are integrated into every phase of the system development life cycle, adhering to the principle of SecDevOps.
  • Continuously evaluate and manage the company's IT risk posture, ensuring proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery preparation, guaranteeing minimal downtime and efficient recovery processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices, maintaining a high level of regulatory adherence.
  • Be responsible for IT security policies, standards, and key controls, providing clear guidance for team members and stakeholders.
  • Lead the company's IT security certification activities, promoting industry-recognized standards and certifications.
  • Assign internal access rights and other security-critical tasks, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems.
  • Lead incident response and crisis management, effectively addressing security breaches and minimizing their impact.
  • Promote a culture of strong information security, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes cybersecurity awareness.
  • Ensure ongoing cybersecurity awareness training and education for users, equipping them with the knowledge to navigate complex security challenges.
About You
  • 7-10 years of experience in information security, preferably in a leadership role, with a proven track record of implementing successful IT security frameworks and certifications.
  • Strong technical acumen in IT infrastructure and networking, as well as in cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and security protocols.
  • Working experience as a systems engineer is a must, with a deep understanding of complex IT systems and their interdependencies.
  • University degree in computer science or a related technical field is required, with a master's degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered).
  • Relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are highly desirable, demonstrating your commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is required, with German being a significant plus in our Swiss-based organization.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align security measures with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration of security into our operations.
