We offer a game-changing trading and clearing platform, combining on-prem and cloud capabilities, which has gained significant traction in the market. Our innovative approach enables institutional adoption and fuels the evolution of the crypto and digital asset market.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Security Officer to lead our IT security function, focusing on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems, as well as specific cybersecurity aspects. This role reports directly to the CEO.
As we build and lead a comprehensive IT security team, we are looking for a candidate who can bring a hands-on, effective IT security perspective based on their extensive experience as an engineer. The ideal candidate will be comfortable intervening in processes and enforcing necessary adjustments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and oversee our IT security framework, encompassing cybersecurity initiatives
- Ensure that security considerations are integrated into every phase of the system development life cycle, striving for SecDevOps principles
- Continuously assess and manage our IT risk posture to ensure optimal security
- Lead business continuity and disaster recovery preparations to mitigate potential threats
- Evaluate and enforce compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
- Establish and maintain IT security policies, standards, and key controls
- Oversee the company's IT security certification activities to ensure alignment with industry standards
- Manage internal access rights and other security-critical tasks to maintain a secure environment
- Develop and execute incident response and crisis management strategies
- Foster a culture of robust information security throughout the organization
- Implement ongoing cybersecurity awareness training and education programs for employees
- Build and lead a high-performing IT security team
- Engage with external partners, clients, auditors, and regulators on IT security matters
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in information security, preferably with leadership roles
- Proven track record in implementing IT security frameworks and certifications, ideally within the financial services or highly regulated industries
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure and networking, as well as cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and security protocols
- Relevant work experience as a systems engineer is essential
- University degree in computer science or a related field required; master's degree preferred (equivalent work experience considered)
- Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are highly desirable
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align security measures with business objectives
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment with a willingness to go above and beyond
- Annual salary: CHF 180'000
