About the Role:
You will work closely with our trading organization to provide guidance and oversight on regulatory affairs and market compliance surveillance. This includes monitoring and interpreting local and European regulations, such as REMIT II, MiFID II, and EMIR, as well as staying up-to-date with changing requirements. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing compliance controls to ensure that our company meets all local and European regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and oversight on regulatory affairs and market compliance surveillance
- Monitor and interpret local and European regulations, including REMIT II, MiFID II, and EMIR
- Develop and implement compliance controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Work closely with our trading organization to identify and address potential compliance risks
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide advice and assistance on regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience in the trading industry, preferably with a good understanding of financial commodities markets
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience working in a commodity-trading environment, preferably in a Middle Office position or as a Compliance officer handling market monitoring/surveillance
- Excellent knowledge of MAR, MiFID, EMIR, REMIT & local Swiss FinFrag
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus with diverse stakeholders
