Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the plant meets Ball Corporation's quality standards. This involves managing effective manufacturing systems, leading and motivating plant personnel, and driving continuous improvement of quality, customer service, and costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times and support improvements to safety, staff welfare, and environmental impacts.
- Manage quality standards through leadership and management of people and systems, both direct and indirect reports.
- Drive the continuous improvement of quality, customer service, and costs.
- Manage department resources to meet budget and production schedule requirements.
- Lead and influence other departments to ensure quality matters are fully supported.
- Manage performance and development of department staff, including identifying training needs, coaching, and promoting teamwork.
- Maintain ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and other relevant quality and food safety management system standards.
- Manage auditing processes with external auditors and internal process controllers.
- Support maintenance of ISO 14001 and 45001 systems, ASI, and Sedex.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Quality-related role in a manufacturing facility, within a multinational, matrix organization.
- Degree-qualified or with sufficient experience and qualifications.
- Experience in internal and external auditing processes (system and process audits).
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 22000 FSSC, and GMP/Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
