Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
  • Drive the monthly closing process, coordinating status reports, reviews, and task lists across all group entities in six European countries.
  • Take ownership of complex accounting areas, such as accruals, provisions, and intangible assets, pushing for more effective and efficient processes.
  • Identify and manage large batch entries across multiple entities and geographies, ensuring consistency and precision.
  • Collaborate with the business to analyze revenue and costs, providing guidance on financial completeness and accruals.
  • Apply financial reporting and accounting expertise on a wide range of topics, from sales to fixed assets, driving compliance and best practices.
  • Support and guide the accounting team, ensuring they execute tasks effectively and efficiently, while also acting as deputy to the Head of Accounting.
  • Play a key role in evolving the accounting master data model, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and alignment with the business needs.
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant certification (such as a Swiss federal diploma, CPA, or ACCA) or a Bachelor's/Master's degree with a focus on finance, accounting, and/or controlling.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial accounting, controlling, or financial audit, equipping you with the skills to navigate complex financial tasks.
  • Proven can-do attitude to data processing, leaving traditional T-accounting where it belongs—in the textbook.
  • Relentless curiosity, diving deep into assigned problems and pursuing solutions until they're fully resolved.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with tools like Power Query, Power BI, or similar software.
  • Quick grasp of complex issues, understanding their connection to accounting and reporting with clarity and precision.
  • Fluency in English, German is a plus.
