About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our thriving technical community in Switzerland. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers, providing strategic guidance on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, systems design, software development, infrastructure architecture, data engineering, or DevOps. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent German and English. A passion for technology and learning is essential.


Key Responsibilities



  • Ownership of the technical relationship with customers
  • Making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and best-practice architectures
  • Acting as an advocate for customers to drive continual improvements to the AWS platform
  • Helping shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others
  • Defining or inventing cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community
  • Participating in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • A background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent German and English
  • A passion for technology and learning

Preferred Qualifications


The following qualifications are desired but not required:



  • Experience designing, building, refactoring, or operating IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud
  • Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
  • Working knowledge of multiple technology domains, such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads, etc.
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Experience working in or with regulated organizations or with the Education sector

Salary and Benefits


We offer a competitive salary, estimated at around 120,000 CHF per year, depending on experience.
