M&A Director for Rapid Expansion in Europe

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of M&A to join a rapidly expanding service company in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing an aggressive M&A pipeline, targeting deals between EUR 10m and EUR 150m.

The company has already acquired 10 targets in the last 4 years and aims to deploy at least EUR 500m in 5 years. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing and executing bilateral deals in Europe, with a strong track record of building a pipeline and executing transactions from sourcing to closing.

Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the founders
  • Developing a deep understanding of the European market
  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of potential acquisitions
  • Owning full buy-side due diligence for bilateral deals
  • Executing on deals, including SPA negotiation
  • Leading post-closing integration and further development opportunities

About You:

We are looking for a professional with experience in sourcing and executing bilateral deals in small- or mid-cap environments. A proven track record of building a pipeline and executing transactions is essential, as is a human and humble approach when interacting with entrepreneurs and founders. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, a self-starting mentality, and the motivation to learn a new industry inside-out.

Key skills include analytical thinking, data-driven decision-making, modern leadership style, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English, Spanish, and Italian is ideal, with any additional European language being welcome.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around EUR 120,000 - 180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
