Design Manager Europe

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager Europe to join our team at Aman. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the design development process, supporting the implementation of Aman's standards and brand objectives, and providing technical services guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Design Development Coordination: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Project Consultants and Aman Corporate teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Project Feasibility and Planning: Assist in the early formulation and feasibility stages of a project, ensuring that all aspects are thoroughly evaluated and planned.
- Technical Services Guidance: Provide guidance on technical services, attend project coordination workshops, and ensure adherence to brand standards.
- Design Review and Quality Assurance: Assist in reviewing design consultant submitted drawings and specifications, ensuring that they meet Aman's standards and brand objectives.
- Project Scheduling and Tracking: Develop and track project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time.
- Issue Resolution and Communication: Identify, work to resolve, and communicate project-related issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
- Project Progress Reporting: Assist with Initial Project Reviews (IPRs) and prepare Project Progress Reports (PPRs), providing regular updates to the Director of Design & Technical Services.
- Site Visits and Reporting: Conduct site visits and prepare visit reports, providing detailed information on project progress and any issues encountered.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Accurately communicate project status, update the Director of Design & Technical Services on a regular basis, and provide projections for all design aspects and program delivery.
- Brand Standards and Process Development: Assist with ongoing development of corporate brand standards and process frameworks, ensuring that they are aligned with Aman's vision and objectives.
- Education: University degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years professional experience in a related field.
- Skills and Knowledge: Experience with coordinating consultants on large-scale developments, familiarity with luxury hotel and resorts project delivery, technical services background with luxury hotel operator preferred, proficiency in AutoCad, SketchUp, Lumion, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and knowledge of ReVu desirable.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages desirable).
- Personal Qualities: Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-national professional teams, excellent communication skills, efficient transmission of instructions, feedback, vision, and understanding of broader project team members' needs, ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, ability to generate innovative solutions through resourceful problem solving, strong work ethic, and cultural sensitivity.
