We are seeking a Helpdesk Technician Lead to join our IT Infrastructure team at ThomasLloyd Climate Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line IT support to our employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations.

As a Helpdesk Technician Lead, you will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing level 1 troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, and escalating unresolved issues to Level 2 support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests via ticketing system, phone, or in person.
  • Provide level 1 troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Evaluate and prioritize IT incidents and service requests.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and IT documentation.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role (helpdesk, desktop support, IT technician, etc.) within a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience with Windows 10 / 11 and macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and Windows domain environments.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with Proxmox, virtualisation, or PowerShell scripting would be a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact within the department and the business.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, German skills would be a plus.
