Transportation Planner

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to play a key role in shaping the future transportation network of Singapore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and developing new road and rail infrastructure projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and evaluating their feasibility.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise data collection activities
- Analyse and interpret survey results
- Develop transport network improvements proposals
- Forecast travel demand
- Assess community benefits and determine economic performance
The Transportation Planner will work closely with other Government agencies to develop integrated transport-landuse plans and provide transportation planning advice on future land use development initiatives.
Requirements:- Tertiary qualification in any discipline, preferably in Civil Engineering, Town/Urban Planning, Geography or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of experience in road, rail and/or bus planning
- Experience in land use planning, transport planning and transport modeling simulation techniques
- Knowledge of modeling using EMME/2, VISSIM/VISUM and/or SIDRA or other similar transportation models will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Candidates with relevant experience, good understanding of transport/town planning principles and strong analytical capabilities will be considered for senior roles
