Research Manager for PANDA Initiative in Sudan

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Manager to join our team in Sudan. As a key member of our PANDA Initiative, you will be responsible for leading research activities and overseeing the work of our team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in research and management, with experience in conducting TPM or other M&E style work in humanitarian contexts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing project strategies, overseeing research planning and implementation, and ensuring the quality of research products.
You will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, promoting team building and productivity, and ensuring effective communication and linkages with HQ.
In addition, you will engage with donors, GAC, Implementing Partners, and CCS partners to share findings and hold analysis and lessons learned workshops.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of independence, self-motivation, and ability to work in a complex and challenging security environment.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A master's degree in a relevant discipline (International Relations, Political Sciences, Social Research, Economics, Development Studies, or similar)
- Previous experience in a management role in an INGO at field level
- Familiarity with the aid system and the research community
- Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Proven knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask with tight deadlines, on numerous research cycles in complex environment
- Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently
- Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
- Past experience in the region is desirable
- Fluency in English required. Fluency in French is an asset
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:
- Salary between 2'800 CHF and 3'000 CHF monthly (before income tax)
